February the month of love…
Hurrah, we made it through January with no more lockdowns and I have a glimmer of hope that business wise this could be a really successful year!
Personally and professionally, January turned out to be a really productive month. We have settled into our office and it is so lovely to finally have a HQ for Wine Tours of Kent, there has been so many bookings for spring and summer tours and we have got some BIG exciting events in Summer 2022!
I didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions, mostly because I didn’t want the pressure to succeed, instead I have been focusing on positive mindsets and the work/life balance. I have experienced some lovely local days out with my daughter and enjoyed the crisp, sunny fresh air that we have had this month. The addition of the new office means I can really focus and be super productive on my work days so I am not working every evening too. If I have learnt one thing over the past two ‘unusual’ years it is to listen to your body and to give yourself rest when needed. I feel super energised and ready for a busy year of welcoming lovely guests and working with my fantastic team!
This month’s focus is all about the love! Here at Wine Tours of Kent we will be celebrating in a big way. Love doesn’t just have to be for one person, so we are focusing on showing a ‘little bit of love’ to all our friends! We will share our romantic wine tour snaps next month!
If you are stuck for Valentine’s Day ideas, we are hosting a Wine and Cheese tasting event at Repton Coffee Corner on the 18th February starting at 6.30pm. Tickets are £30 per person and selling fast. To book please contact the Coffee corner on 07425339677 or message them on Facebook or Instagram. Look forward to seeing you there!
If you already have plans but are looking for a gift idea, here are my top 3 Kent wines for Valentine’s Day:
- Chapel Down English Rose NV (in a gorgeous gift box) £30.00
This is one of my favourite Kent Sparkling Wines- it is really easy drinking and perfect to share a bottle with your loved one.
Delicate rose petal in colour with lemon sherbet on the nose with rosehip and wild strawberry on the palate. It comes ready gift packed too!

- Herbert Hall Brut Rose 2018 £44.00
An exquisite vintage sparkling wine, perfect to enjoy with a romantic meal for two.
Pale pink in colour with delicate, fine bubbles. Lots of fruit on the palate and a gorgeous aroma of peach blossom and white chocolate. How romantic!

- Woodchurch Wine Rose 2020 £20.00
If you are not a sparkling drinker but still want to enjoy a lovely bottle of wine over Valentine’s Day this is the perfect choice. Salmon pink in colour, an aroma of lavender and fruit flavours on the palate. This would be the perfect accompaniment to a pasta dish or fish.

All of the wines can be purchased from the vineyard’s websites. I have already got my order in!
As always, I like to look ahead and I am really looking forward to the Spring, the vineyards will be slowly starting to look flush, there are still less visitors than in the Summer months so it is my favourite time to welcome guests. It is normally when the vineyards launch their new releases too! Perfect for a lovely spring day out with family or friends.

Next month I will be focusing more on Spring in Kent and getting some ‘behind the scenes’ coverage from our fab vineyards, hopefully trying some fantastic 2021 vintages too..hic!
Love Abi x
