Lavender Cottage is located in the picturesque village of Iden, East Sussex. Renowned as an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, the village was first mentioned in the Domesday book.

Dating back to the 17th Century, the pretty cottage with its wonky floors, low ceilings, inglenook fireplace and abundance of character, is the perfect base for exploring this medieval part of the country.

Lavender Cottage has been sympathetically restored to provide a relaxed, rural  stay for up to six guests. There is a wealth of period features at the cottage, including an impressive inglenook fireplace, stone floors and exposed beams. Set in pretty gardens with ample parking for three cars, Lavender Cottage is located in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’,making it an ideal holiday retreat.

Living is slow and relaxed at Lavender Cottage.  Should you be able to tear yourself away from the bbq in the summer or the fireplace in the winter, the area has a wealth of events and places of interests to visit. Including Rye, Camber Sands, Battle and Hastings.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

There are three bedrooms at Lavender Cottage. The Master bedroom benefits from an ensuite bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. All bedrooms are good sized doubles, with one containing 2 single beds, ideal for children sharing rooms. There is a family bathroom downstairs, with a bath, toilet and large shower cubicle.

Living Areas

Lavender Cottage boasts a stunning inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. Perfect for hankering down in the winter months with a mug of cocoa and a good film. In the living room, there is a good selection of  board games and a chrome cast for streaming. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and microwave.

Outside

Outside space is something of a premium in this part of the county and Lavender Cottage is lucky to have it in abundance! There is ample parking for three cars. A large garden to the front, with seating, quince and cherry trees (guests are welcome to pick the fruit!) and an area to the side with patio, bbq and dining seating for 6 people.
