Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for our ‘Vineyard Spotlight’ series. We will be showcasing the wonderful and diverse vineyards we partner with on our tours, giving you an insight into what to expect and more reasons why you should visit! ????

First up!

Woodchurch Wine Estate

Owners Graham & Donna Barbour purchased the land in 2009 and planted in 2010. Woodchurch Wine Estate is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Woodchurch in Kent – the garden of England. Set across 12 acres, the vineyard’s gentle slopes look directly south over the vines to ancient Romney Marsh, and beyond to the Kentish coast and English Channel. The vineyard is 20m above sea level and has the perfect aspect for growing vines. Their balcony seating area offers stunning views and perfect photo opportunities!

Woodchurch released their first vintage in 2015 and now produce a range of award-winning still and sparkling wines, producing around 30,000 bottles per annum.

Throughout the year the vines are managed by hand and treated with great care, which in turn means the fruit harvested is of the highest quality. Their wine is made in a state of the art winery by one of the UK’s leading winemakers, whose philosophy of minimal intervention and diligent approach to wine-making result in superb wines.

Grape varieties grown include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier & Bacchus.

Join one of our tours to visit Woodchurch Wine Estate, where you will meet Graham who will take you on a personal journey and you’ll learn all about the story behind the vineyard and the wine.

Also it’s worth a very important mention they do the most delicious homemade pizzas!
