We’re thrilled to share the latest data from the WineGB Industry Survey, highlighting the remarkable growth of the English and Welsh wine industry in 2023. Notably, vineyard numbers have surpassed 1,000 for the first time, increasing by 87 to reach 1,030. The full results can be found here. WineGB also held its eighth annual WineGB Awards recently, where Kent emerged victorious with a total of 71 medals, broken down to 9 gold, 26 silver, 36 bronze. Followed by East Sussex with 47. Can you believe we are already over halfway through the year? We don’t know about you, but this year is flying by! This could be because we have been so busy hosting some very lovely guests on our wine tours over the last few months. Hurrah, we made it through January with no more lockdowns and I have a glimmer of hope that business wise this could be a really successful year!
